Hi lovelies. It’s been way too long, I know I know!!! I’m going to get better, its just been a busy week, heck…MONTH for me! I was sick yesterday, but I’m feeling much much better today. I think I just had a 24 hour bug. Any who…. this past weekend hubby and I celebrated 5 years. WOW! It seems like yesterday I was stressing over every detail of my wedding. LOL If you’ve planned a wedding, then you DEF share my feelings. We had such a romantic evening. Hubby surprised me with a bottle of my favorite wine and the most touching card. He didn’t tell me where we were going, he just told me I needed to be dressed by 5p. I had no idea what to wear, if I should dress up or what. He just told me to “do what I do”. I loved it, he knows me too well! I opted to wear this deep V-neck dress that I purchased from Asos. I wanted to get in some color blocking before Summer ends. I wore the dress as a top with these silk shorts I purchased from Envy Boutique the beginning of the year. I also wore the shorts here. Hubby was such a gem for taking these shots for me too. ::all smiles::
So we pull up to one of my favorite restaurants Two Urban Licks. It’s a great modern, hip and trendy restaurant. It screams ME! hahaha A live band plays as well. We sat 0utside on the balcony and I began with a glass of wine, while Hubby enjoyed a cocktail. I think he got a white sangria or something. I just know it was strong when I tried it. LOL We ordered the salmon chips and the empanadas for starters. The salmon chips are DEEEEEE LISH!! I meant to take pictures of each starter/entre but then forgot! SORRY For dinner, we both had the bistro steak. YUMMY For desert we had the chocolate bomb. It was basically chocolate covered chocolate icecream with marshmallow infused between the chocolate. It was soooooo good. I love anything chocolate and marshmallows, so it was a great combination. We watched the sunset and drank more wine and cocktails.Rimmel London 6-hour Stay Glossy lipgloss (I’ll be doing a review of this soon)
You may remember these leopard shoes from my Shoe Haul post here. I’ve pretty much lost count of my shoes so I am just going along the way. LOL I’ve purchased way too many shoes and I know I’m no where near finished because now I will be buying shoes for Fall/Winter.
We ended up at this cool spot that had a great Jazz band and then this FAB neosoul band called Miller & Co. The singer, Deborah was absolutely AWESOME!! She rocked it!!!! She was such a sweetheart too. She came around to everyone in the builing and introduced her. I thought that was so personable of her. Her and her band are the BOMB.com If your in Atlanta and you want a real nice place to chill out, get your drink on and listen to great music on a Saturday night, I’d highly recommend this place. She sings every Saturday unless she has a show. She also sings backup for a group, but for the most part, she said she is here every single Saturday.

So I am loving the color PINK…or Fuchsia! It just looks so summery, don’t you think? Everytime I wear these light pink slacks, hubby looks at me crossed eyed. (I’ve worn them back in January, here!) I guess these would be one pair of pants that he just doesn’t get….pink slacks! LOL But I love them, I love the fit mostly. They fit like your favorite pair of jeans would and I’ve had them F.O.R.E.V.E.R! Probably before I even moved here to Atlanta, and I’ve been here for 9 years, so that’s a pretty long time. LOL
I felt what better way to pair these slacks than with my fuchsia pumps. Just gives a different hue of pink, it works too. I opted for a neutral top so I wouldn’t take away from the pink. You might remember these shoes from here when I styled them for the WARdrobe challenge that I won. I just love that POP of color on my feet. FABULOUS!!!
I can’t remember if I told you all this before, but you may notive my hair cut isn’t as defined as it used to be. I’ve actually decided upon growing it out. Since I’m natural now, I just want to be able to throw it up in a bun, or wash & go. It just doesn’t look right now when I do that to it, it has to grow out some more for me. I’ve always worn my hair longer, like here. I just have to have the patience in letting it grow back out! LOL
WELL, WELL, WELL! I’ve added 3 more shoes to my collection. LOL LOL I know, I know… your thinking I will NEVER complete this challenge!!!!!! Come on dolls, have a little bit of faith in me! hahahaha
Happy Monday DOLLS!!! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I did! Hubby and I finally went to go too Transformers – Dark of the Moon 3D. I’m a huge Transformers fan, so I already knew it was going to be a great movie. The action is just amazing… I am such an action movie freak! This is actually what I wore to work today. It’s highly unusual that I post same day outfits, since I am usually behind on my outfits. Belive it or not, I have NONE in my archives, so I’m trying to play catch up on my outfits and get back ahead of the game so I won’t have to do same day outfit posts. LOL
I found this FAB fuschia blazer while thrifting. I got it for $2.00. Yep, ya’ll know I love to thrift. I love getting cheap cheap items and people think I paid so much. This blazer is so light and airy. It’s linen also. Its a great summer blazer and your going to catch me wearing this blazer all summer. It gets chilly in the office with the air conditioning, so it’s perfect to wear inside and outdoors also since its so light.
So I’ve turned into a workout junkie! LOL I’ve been going to the gym working out. NO, I’m not trying to loose weight, I’m actually wanting to gain. Only about 5lbs. I really want to tone my legs and arms and work more on my abs. Working out makes me feel so good. I feel like I have so much more energy through out the day. I always thought it would make me so tired, but it gives me a boost of energy. Imagine that!!! My legs and abs used to be sooo sooo sore, but I think my body has adjusted to the workout, because now I barely get sore… Or does that just mean, I need to do a tougher workout? I need to ask my girl Krystle, of www.krystlesstyle.blogspot.com, since she is the Fitness Queen!!
Hello dolls!!! It’s been awhile, I know I know. I’m back… LOL Let me go ahead and get right to the point….this will be a quick post but I just had to stop in and say HELLO to all you FAB dolls!! Ohhh, I sorta had a blank when thinking of a title for this post so I just went with my skin tone now. YEP, I’ve still been having FUN in the SUN, getting my tan on!!!! Ohhhhh yeah, I almost forgot… You all don’t know about my obession with TATTOOS, well… now you do!!! I got a new tattoo last week and I LOVE it. You’d never know it by looking at me, but I love my tatts. If you ever catch me out in a bathing suit, you’ll see just how many I actually have. You’ve probably already noticed the panther on my left shoulder. I always get my tatts places where they can be hid…I gotta stay professional at the office, ya know?
I wore this outfit to Brunch the day after the previous outfit post I did. You probably also recognize this jumper from here. I pretty much didn’t do anything different besides switch up the shoes and chose different accessories. Although, I did pair this with a blazer before (not pictured) for the office, and now I’ve worn it more casually. See how easy it is to go from the office to Sunday Brunch, Voila!!!
Let’s talk about the SHOES!! You know how I love me some Just Fab….BUT I’m also beginning to love Sole Society. These shoes are Madeleine from Sole Society and Aren’t they GORG!!! LOL These babies are soooo comfy too and that is key in a cute shoe. Actually all wedges that I have are pretty comfy, but these are super comfy. I love the satin tie around the ankle, its so sexy! Your going to see me in more outfits posts with these shoes for sure. Right now, they are my fave shoe in my closet. By they way, I’m still participating in the Shoeper Shoe Challenge and my count has gone up because I’ve bought 2 more pairs (so that totals 3 in the past 2 weeks). I’ve won a Style Challenge sponsored by Just Fab, and guess what I won…6 MONTHS OF FREE SHOES!!!!!! YAY!! Whew!! This is going to be a long year for this challenge, but I am determined to complete it. LOL You can never have too many shoes ladies….always remember that! LOL

Hey my lovelies!!! I hope your week is going just as great as mine has been!! I promise to do better with outfit posts, I know I am seriously slacking in that area. I have been traveling like you would not believe. LOL But anywho…. How much do you love this outfit. I have to say, I literally threw this outfit together in minutes. On Saturday, my BFF threw her hubby a going away party. He has to go overseas to fight for our country (please pray for his safe return to his wifey and children)! I knew I wanted to wear shorts because it was just too dang on hot outside. Don’t get me wrong, that is not a complaint. I LOVE the heat… I’m the one staying at the pool from Noon to 7/8pm (can’t you tell by my lovely golden tan….and NO, I’m not bragging LMBO)! AND I knew I wanted to wear these GORG platform slingbacks that were just delivered by JustFab… Thats another topic, because I’ve purchased 2 more pairs of shoes. So you know what that means… My shoe count goes up for the Shoeper Shoe Challenge!!! LOL LOL The hat came about because I was having a bad hair day, as simple as that.
I had a lot of fun taking these pictures and just being silly. It was about 8:30p when I took these shots and one thing about me, when I get tired, I get SILLY and act really GOOFY. LOL I’m sure you get the hint from some of these shots. hahaha
We had so much fun partying with our friends on Saturday. We had a fun filled weekend, Partying with Friends, Brunch on Sunday at Rays on the River AND I received great news that my dear friend is EXPECTING!!! I’m soo soo soo happy for her and her hubby!! It was just a great weekend!!
NOW….let me introduce you to “Little Miss Diva”, my little sister, who is 5 years old going on 18!! Isn’t she just adorable?? She was already in her PJ’s and ready for bed when I went out back to take my shots. She watched me the whole time take my shots with my tripod. She now wants to be a SUPER Model when she grows up.. LOL I told her to hurry and run in one of the shots and she LOVED it. She just laughed and laughed and even put her hand on her hip to pose for this shot! Here is a future fashionista in the making!! LOL
Don’t forget … you still have time to enter the “Pearls and Beauty” Giveaway. Entry ends July 7th.
I just wanted to do a quick post to wish all of you FABULOUS Father’s a Happy Father’s Day! I hope your day is a relaxing one. I just got back from vacation and wish it lasted a little longer. I got my TAN on and relaxed a lot!! LOL I think I lived at the pool. LOL
I attended Vagrant Magazine Launch party a few weeks back and never got around to posting my outfit pictures. Be sure to head over to the magazine here to get more info. Tomik, the owner of the Mag, is a total sweetheart!!
I wore a strapless floral dress that I paired with a skinny belt. I completed the look with nude pumps and a red clutch that was a thrifted find. Love it??????H&M dress and accessories│Shock Boutique watch│JustFab shoes│bracelet made by Torre│Thrifted clutch
Happy Saturday beauties!!! You may be looking at the title of this post thinking… wait a minute, I remember that title. You may remember it from here. I participated in the Bloggers Do it Better assignment which was WHITE OUT! I actually wore this outfit weeks before I knew that was going to be our assignment and when I saw the assignment, I decided not to post this outfit but to do a whole new outfit, which I did here!
I LOVE these pants. I purchased them at this consignment shop that I go to often! They also have online shopping, so if your not in the Atlanta area, you can still get your shop on at this fabulous shop. I purchased them a couple years ago and never wore them until now. The 70’s trend is back in effect…wide legs, etc. etc. I wore them here too. This time, I made this look a little more “office friendly”. Everyone thought I had on a white suit, put I just paired my H&M white blazer with the pants. It sure did look like a pant suit, huh? LOL
Today over at EBEW ( Everybody Everywear) it’s all about Florals. Florals is another big trend for Spring/Summer 2011. You can’t go wrong at all with this trend. As you all know, Rih Rih is my style icon (how ironic EBEW showed this look as an example too) and I love how she paired her floral sundress with over sized sunglasses and Miu Miu open toe boots back in 2009. It makes the whole outfit look not so soft… but hard. That’s is what I LOVE so much about this look!Photo Credit: In Their Closet
I recreated Rihanna’s look with this floral ruffled dress that I bought from Tar-jay about a month or two ago with these KLS peep toe ankle booties, these sunnies that I bought from a Beauty Supply store for $3. I liked the rhinestones on the side of the glasses, that’s why I bought them. I threw on a boyfriend blazer to make the outfit more “office” friendly. But as you can see, this outfit easily goes from the office, to out for drinks with the girls. If you don’t want to rock the peep toe booties and soften the look, throw on some pumps or some sandals to make it a little more casual. It’s so many great things you can do with floral dresses. So throw on those florals ladies, don’t be shy!!
Don’t forget to also head over to EBEW to see how others styled their FLORALS!
Today is going to be a really short post. It’s Mother’s Day and I’m spending a great day with my family. Today’s outfit is all about Sequins. Yes, you can still wear it, so don’t pack it away just yet. It’s still a trend for 2011. Sequins are not limited to just Black Tie and After Five affairs, but can very much so be added to denim, as I’ve done! It brings instant GLAM to your outfit.
I snatched this MK top at TJ Maxx for like $19.99 last summer actually. It was originally $89.99 and this is my first time finally putting it on.
Shoeper Shoe Challenge #19
These nude wedges I got a few weeks ago at JustFab I knew I had to have them when I saw them in my closet. They are quite comfy too. Wedges are def HAUTE for Sprin/Summer 2011, so if you haven’t got a pair be sure to snatch these babies up.
I hope all of you Fashionista Mommy’s have a wonderful day today and EVERYDAY!!!!
I hope you all had a FAB weekend! I enjoyed time with the family and great friends. Last weekend, I attended FAMU (Florida A&M University) Jazz Brunch with my great friend Felix. I go every year to show my support. (I’m an OSU alumni) The people are great, the food is great, and the young adults that are so blessed to receive scholarships from this University. To see how grateful and humbled they are is the best part for me. Also, to see how happy these young adults are that their hard work has paid off.
I had been on the hunt for a white blazer and I came across one at H&M a couple weeks ago while shopping the Conscious Collection. I bought a lot of items in the collection actually, but the white blazer was by far, my best item purchased.
It seems like I just can’t get out of the 80’s with my shoe count. LOL I bought yet another pair of shoes over the weekend so my count goes up AGAIN… *sigh* I have to keep reminding myself that it has only been 2.5 months since the Shoe Challenge began, so I think I’m still ahead of the game. LOL I won’t change my count though until I receive them, as usual.
So are you all getting excited about the ROCK IT ROLL IT challenge? Don’t forget to head over to Fashion Du Jour Daily to enter the Style Challenge to have a chance to win a $50 shopping spree sponsored by MiMi Boutique …Stay tuned too see how I’m going to ROCK IT & ROLL IT!
Happy Tuesday Fashion Lovers!!!!! Color Blocking is the one trend this Spring that I want to have FUN with. I just want to go all out and enjoy it. I was a little subtle here since I did have to go into the office. I didn’t want to get any side eyes and crazy looks for Color Blocking. I mean, everyone can’t be as Fashionable as we are, right? LOL I actually wore this outfit a couple weeks ago, maybe even a few weeks ago. I thought it’d be the perfect outfit to share with you all while participating in Bloggers Do It Better. If you want to participant, go ahead and head on over to Pretty Shiny Sparkly to get all the details.
So, what is Color Blocking you ask? It’s simple… C O L O R!! Don’t be afraid of it. Pair a pair of red pants with a yellow top and pink skinny belt OR wear a bright yellow skirt with a coral top and a green skinny belt…..that is all color blocking! Just put on color and don’t think twice about it. LOL The key to color blocking, in my opinion, is….. Don’t Be Afraid Of Color! Color is your best friend. Especially for Spring and Summer. If your a little leery and unsure, try blocking oranges and corals with creams and soft neutrals. That will tone things down a little for you until you want to go a little bolder! Just have FUN with it….that is what it’s all about anyway!
Isn’t this Mural absolutely marvelous??? I shot these pictures at Little Five Points, one of my favorite hangouts for great food and shopping. One of my many fave boutiques, ENVY, is located there too.
Sooooooo, I’ve got so many things to share with you all. I attended Style Envy at (more…)
It’s that time again… Everybody Everywear. I always look forward to participating and seeing all the FAB ways other fashion lovers have styled different items. The item for the month of April is THE MAXI. I love Maxi’s. They are just so comfy. You can dress them up with pumps or dress them down with a pair of flip flops. I have so many Maxi’s (8 to be exact) and it took quite awhile for me to decide which Maxi I was going to rock. I wear my Maxi so many different ways. I might wear one as a swimsuit coverup, or for dinner with the hubby on a Summer night. There is really no wrong way to wear a Maxi. I decided to rock this BCBGMAXAZRIA Maxi that I purchased years ago from TJ Maxx. I bought this fedora a couple weeks ago from Target and I thought it would go perfectly. I had a lot of fun doing this photoshoot!!! Can you tell? LOL
Don’t forget to check out Everybody Everywear to see all the other FAB stylish ideas featuring The Maxi.
Happy Sunday! It’s another beautiful day here in Atlanta. Yesterday we had 90 degree weather and today almost 90. It was a perfect day for Fashionography. I was invited to this awesome event and I’m so glad I was able to attend. Since the weather was so nice, I decided to wear these silk shorts that I bought a few weeks ago from one of my favorite boutiques in Midtown, ENVY! I was going to wear a red polka dot front bow blouse, but opted for this vintage blouse that I also wore here. And of course, I completed the look with my coral KAYLAS, the 1st pair of shoes that I purchased from the new shoe club Sole Society.
This was a fashion event dedicated to spreading the love and passion of fashion, and the positive impact it has on today’s generation. The show featured many up and coming fashion designers in the Atlanta area such as Beachbling Swimwear, Fogle by Fogle, Marqo Kennedy Designs, Paul Anthony, Low Down and a special tribute showcase to gone but not forgotten Designer Kirk Kelley, via the Kirk Kelley Archives. The show benefited the Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW), a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost services to empower black women and their families toward physical, mental and economic wellness. Below are a few of some of my favorites from the event.
I hope everyone had a Happy Monday!! If you are a frequent reader, you remember that a couple weeks ago, I was bitten by a dog. It’s still surreal to me, but it indeed happened. This is actually the outfit I had on and was in the park doing my photoshoot for. I can laugh about it now, but at no means was it funny. It was all but funny while I was going through the recovery process. So, let me begin…
I went to the park as I usually do at lunch time. There is usually noone even in the park most days. It’s a very small park and the park hosts a lot of small outdoor weddings because the scenery is just so nice and it has such an intimate setting. Anywho, I was actually done with my photoshoot and carrying my tripod and camera back to my car. I didn’t even think twice as I saw the gentleman walking towards me with his 2 Boston Terriers. I’m by no means afraid of dogs. I grew up with them and love dogs. I’ve had pit bulls (that were such babies and by no means mean at all) and I currently have a 6lb Shih Tzu, so as you can see, I am no stranger to dogs. So the guy walks past me and I say, “Hello” and he speaks back and the next think I know, his dog jumps on my leg and attacks me. I’m like, “What the hell? Your damn dog just bit me?” LOL Those were my exact words!!!! LOL I was just so shocked, because I have NEVER EVER EVER had this happen to me in my life. LOL (well… when I was younger a dog tried to bite me in my butt..LOL But thats another story for another day LOL LOL). The guy looks at me and says, “I’m sorry.” But his attitude was just like, what do you want me to do. He wasn’t as apologetic as he could have been. You know? So I say I need to get his information, he’s not cooperative. He was an elderly gentleman so I didn’t argue with him.. I was raised to treat my elders with respect. LOL So I just wrote down his license plate number. I drove back to work and immediately called the police. So the police comes out, takes my report and tells me I have to call Animal Control. I call Animal Control and they tell me because the bite happened in one county and I live in another county, I had to come into the location so they could verify the bite. So I drive to Animal Control and file a report with them. They tell me they will quarantine the dog for 10 days to be sure the dog doesn’t have Rabbies. They told me that they hadn’t had a Rabbies case in the state of GA in over 5 years. So that made me feel pretty good but I still thought to myself, I had the bad luck to get bitm it would be just my luck that this dog would have Rabbies, so I was still worried. I went to my Dr. and she checked out the bite and told me I had an infection and then I had to get on antibiotics. I also had to get a Tetnas shot in my arm that left my arm sore for 3 days. Then the antibiotics that I was on, had side effects and would you know, I experienced 95% of the side effects. I don’t know what was worse, the dog bite or the side effects from the antibiotic. Uggghhhh But today I can say I am back to 100% and you wouldn’t even have known I was bit by a dog if I didn’t tell you. LOL I know for sure, that was a day that I will never forget. I still have a love for dogs, but I will say… when it comes to Boston Terriers, I will be a little bit more reserved and give them that ::side eye:: and one better not come near me! LOL
So I bought 2 more shoes this weekend so my shoe count total is now up to 94. So I’ve been knocked back a few and have 82 more to go. I also actually bought 2 more pair online but I haven’t received those yet so I won’t count them until I physically have them!!! WOW! I guess you can call me a SHOEAHOLIC as well as a SHOPAHOLIC! hahahahahaha If you’d like, you can still participate in the challenge. You just will have a late start but will still have to wear all your shoes by February 14, 2012.
As you can tell I was having such a good time with this shoot too! LOL Oh yeah, the dog tore my pants too… I might have been more worried about my pants than my leg. LOL LOL
