A few weeks ago, I joined the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday (FBFF) group. This was founded and is hosted by a great chica, Katy Rose over at ModlyChic. To sum it up, it’s where other fashion/beauty bloggers, like myself, get together and share our thoughts on various topics every Friday. If you’d like to be apart of Friend Friday, click here to contact Katy Rose and get more details.
This weeks topic is: New Year, New Blog, New You…
1. What’s the one thing you vow to learn or do in 2011 to improve your
The #1 goal for my blog is to make the transition to Word Press and give my blog a makeover. I have so many ideas and things I want to do with my blog and my logo and Word Press is going to be the place for me to get most of what I want accomplished. I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to make this switch, hopefully sooner than later.
2. What did you learn about blogging in 2010 that you plan to put into
practice next year?
I learned that there are so many other bloggers out there that are willing to help and give ideas for my blog. I ran a fashion, gossip, entertainment blog in 2008 and the bloggers weren’t so helpful. Now that I have made the switch to do what I LOVE, which is fashion, I’ve met so many helpful ladies. I plan to implement this with new bloggers myself. I try to help as much as I can with new bloggers. I feel like this is a community and I want to make sure I do the best that I can do!
3. Do you have any high-level goals for your blog in the coming year?
Monetization? More comments? More connections with other bloggers? A
As I said before, I am def making that switch to Word Press and giving the blog a “makeover”. High level goals would be the launch of my boutique (Shop Charee Lenee’ boutique). That is in the works for me now and I plan to launch that before the blog makeover happens. I would like to learn more about getting more traffic to my blog, getting my name out there, and getting more of my readers to feel more comfortable with commenting. So many look at the blog, but won’t comment. I welcome comments and it makes my day everytime I see that a reader has left one. So I definately want to do whatever I can to help my readers become more comfortable with commenting.
4. If you could collaborate with one other blogger within your sphere
of influence in 2011, who would you like to collaborate with, and what
would you like to collaborate on?
I’m still kind of trying to find my way around in the fashion blogosphere, so I’m not really sure who I would like to collaborate with. I’m def gonna touch back on this question later. 🙂
5. What do you plan to do to support other bloggers next year?
I plan to make myself readily available for any questions, feedback, or constructive criticism another blogger may want or need. I want to help in any way that I can, because us bloggers need to stick together! 🙂
