These mustard palazzo trousers are one of my favorite pair this season. I love mustard palazzo trousers because they are so versatile. I’m wearing them with sandals and a crop top, which is so comfy. You might remember me wearing them last year here. They are a little more snug now than they were then.
Earlier this year, I had some medical issues going on and was on certain medications. I wasn’t able to move around as I normally would and as a result of the meds and not being as active, I gained 20-25 pounds. WOWZERS! That may not seem like a lot, but that is A LOT to me! We all know our bodies and know what is too much for us. In late April, I was cleared to go to the gym and resume “light” activity. At that point, I was ready to take anything my Doc gave me. I started out on the treadmill, then the elliptical. Eventually, I was able to climb the stairs (you know the one in the gym). That was my favorite workout machine. I also completely changed my diet. I only eat seafood, lean turkey, and tons of veggies. I cut out red meat, pork and chicken! Needless to say, as of today, I have lost 16 POUNDS!!!!! That is MAJOR! At this point, I don’t even hop on the scale anymore. I just hopped on today to see what I lost so that I can put it in this post.
I just want to be healthier for myself and for my family. I say I want to lose 5 more pounds, yup, I want to give rid of these love handles, but it will come. I’m not over here stressing out about it. I feel like those 16 pounds that I lost are HUGE for me. As long as I am healthier, reach the goals that I have set for myself and work out at least 3 days a week. I am ok with that. Sometimes we beat ourselves up about how we look or the size we are, but love the skin you are in. As long as your insides are healthy, the rest will follow. What are some of the things you do to stay healthy?
