Did you have a great weekend? I did!! The weather was absolutely awesome here in Atlanta. It was in the mid 70’s and oh so lovely. Just makes me ready for Summer to get here sooner. Let’s just skip over Spring and go directly to Summer, sound like a plan? This is an outfit that I wore Monday of last week. I’m still trying to catch up on all my daily outfit posts. This is actually a DRESS!!!! Can you believe it? This is a halter dress that I bought from Forever 21 two Summer’s ago. Below is a picture of me with my girlfriend Missy at her Birthday Dinner Party, wearing the dress. (Yes my hair was a lot longer..I cut it all off in February of last year and I LOVE it… so glad I cut it!!!)
So, now that you have an idea of what the dress looks like…here it is after I “remixed” it. It was so simple to do. I put a cardigan sweater over it and an oversized wrap belt to give the illusion that I was wearing a skirt. I just tucked the cardican into the belt so it would look like a top. So if you have a halter dress or any dress for that matter that you want to ‘REMIX”, just wear a cardigan, top or blouse over it and complete it with an over sized belt, you now have your dress turned into a skirt… VOILA!!!
So the whole reason behind me trying this…Hubby made a bet with me that I couldn’t go 6 months without shopping. Yes Yes Yes, I have to admit, it is a bit of a challenge for me and its sooo hard. LOL! But I am showing him that I can indeed do it. So far, its been about 3 weeks and I have not bought anything, as far as clothes. LOL I did go to Ulta and bought some nail polish, but that doesn’t count! hahahaha It’s all about remixing the things you already have in your closet without having to buy new things, right Ladies?!?!?!!?
